Choi Han Kyul, played by Gong Yoo, is the cocky son of a rich family who runs a food corporation. He doesn’t believe in love and certainly doesn’t want to get married despite his family’s requests. On the other hand, Go Eun Chan, played by Yoon Eun Hye, is a 24-year old tomboyish female who gets mistaken as a guy quite often. She takes up every job possible – waitress, food deliverer, etc – and has the responsibility of taking care of her mother and younger sister. Eun Chan accidentally meets Han Kyul twice, once on a delivery and once during a robbery. During the robbery, Eun Chan’s delivery motorcycle ends up being damaged. Han Kyul, not knowing that Eun Chan is actually a girl, decides to hire Eun Chan as a false “lover” so that he can escape the blind dates arranged by his grandmother. Meanwhile, Han Kyul’s cousin, Choi Han Seong, is an established music producer and his ex-girlfriend Han Yoo Joo, who Han Kyul secretly loved for nine years, is a famous artist who studied in New York. The two were lovers for about 8 years but their relationship ended when Yoo Joo broke up with Han Seong. Two years after they separated their paths cross again when Yoo Joo returns to Seoul.

After getting an ultimatum from his grandmother, Han Kyul takes over a run-down old coffee shop, later renamed Coffee Prince, to prove his ability, both to his grandmother and Yoo Joo. In order to attract female customers, he only hires good looking male employees. In a struggle with money, Eun Chan, whom Han Kyul has already mistaken as a boy, hides her gender identity to get a job at Coffee Prince. Soon feelings start to spark between Eun Chan and Han Kyul. Because he’s unaware that Eun Chan is a girl, Han Kyul starts to question his sexuality.

Kwon Yeon-woo is a thirty year old low-level civil servant who works in a district office; quite innocent for his age, he has been on numerous blind dates in an unsuccessful bid to find a wife. After moving into a new place, he begins to encounter a high school girl, Soo-yeong, on his way to work every morning, and she begins to develop feelings for him. Meanwhile, Kang Sook has just started working at the district office straight out of high school, and falls head over heels for older woman Kwon Ha-kyeong.

Cast:

  • Yoo Ji-tae … Kwon Yeon-woo
  • Lee Yeon-hee … Soo-yeong
  • Chae Jung-an … Kwon Ha-kyeong
  • Kang-in … Kang Sook
  • Choi Soo-young … Jeong Da-jeong
  • Sin Choon-sik … Laundromat father
  • Lee Joo-sil … Laundromat mother
  • Hwang Seok-jeong … Professor Ha
  • Kim Kang-woo … Gyoo-cheol (cameo)
  • Kang Full … Umbrella shop man (cameo)

I find this story cute:) Although such relationships are widely accepted now, the way their story goes isn’t common…like what happened to Soo Yeong and Yeon Woo, it started w/ an innocent crush but eventually it developed into real love.

This story really inspired me haha coz i’m much like the younger ones in this movie.. i’m always attracted w/ girls much older than me 🙂

and it also made Lee Yeon Hee dearer to my heart 🙂

Kang Jae-kyung (Hyun Bin) is your typical spoiled rich kid; he’s arrogant, drives sporty cars, attends the big clubs, rides through school corridors on his motorcycle and – wait, that’s not typical at all is it? As his 18th birthday approaches he’s set to inherit his grandfather’s fortune, but that comes with a price. Jae-kyung is going to have to earn his fortune. His grandfather lays down an ultimatum; Jae-kyung is required to transfer to a new school in Gangwondo and graduate. Until then all access to his penthouse, cottage and credit cards is denied. Should he fail to graduate or drop out then he loses everything. With little choice he heads out to the countryside and a small town in which daily life is far removed from what he’s used to.

Shortly after settling into his new home he meets 19 year-old Choi Eun-whan (Lee Yeon-hee), who just happened to run into him back in Seoul. They don’t exactly hit it off; he’s far too stubborn and cool for school, while she sees hope for him and sets out to make him see it for himself. As they eventually draw closer, thanks to a set of coincidences and school projects they learn more about one another, but soon a shattering revelation will change these people forever.

Cast

  • Hyun Bin starred as Kang Jae-Kyung,
  • Lee Yeon Hee starred as Choi Eun-Whan

I absolutely love this film…it shows that nothing is more important than the person you love the most. Although the plot seems common… the way they expanded it is really great, the music blends with the scene and it adds more color and emotion.

Actually..the first time i watched it made me think of “a walk to remember” but i know this one is much better ^_^

(and ever since… i became hooked w/  Lee Yeon Hee ^_^)

“Ye Eun who is in the same college year with me is just a normal college girl wearing her faculty t-shirt and carrying lecture handouts.”

That was what Kara member, Han Seung Yeon said as she talked about her interesting encounters with Wonder Girls Ye Eun in an interview recently.

Han Seung Yeon was accepted into Kyunghee University under it’s acting program this year, with Ye Eun joining the postmodern music program.

Han Seung Yeon said in the interview

The postmodern classroom is right beside mine. So I often see Ye Eun in school. Ye Eun is a really normal girl when she goes to school, usually wearing her faculty t-shirt plus lecture handouts in her hands. Both our classes uses the same washroom so we often see each there. I didn’t really know Ye Eun before this. Because we are singers, my professors often asked me about Ye Eun. Later on, we managed to see each other quite often in the washroom and in the canteen and naturally we knew each other better.

She continued, “Because of my singing schedule, I do not have sufficient time to prepare for my tests unlike normal students. So I get really worried before my tests. My professors didn’t know about my identity as a singer. It was only recently when I was preparing for our (Kara) new album and comeback and told them (professors) about it. They were really shocked.”

The new 5-member Kara will mark their comeback with consecutive performances for their title song “Rock U” starting with M! Countdown tonight, Music Bank, Music Core and ending with Inkigayo on Sunday.

Wonder Girls Ye Eun has managed to keep her ‘honor student’ streak going from her high school to her present college life.

In a recent interview with Sports Hankooki, Ye Eun said, “My first semester grades are out, I got 3As, 1 C but it was mostly Bs.”

It isn’t really easy for Ye Eun to achieve such good grades partly because of her busy schedule where she has to perform and study at the same time. Especially during the period when she had her finals which counted for a big portion of the grades, she had to rush between tv stations and school.

Thankfully for her, Ye Eun’s average grades added up to B+. This has continued her honor student status dating from her high school days.

According to Wonder Girls manager, “Ye Eun never once skipped lessons or forgo going for tests no matter how difficult it is for her, although she isn’t quite satisfied with her results. For those subjects which she got less than ideal grades, she would be working doubly hard for them in between semesters.”

“The most unlikeliest idols in this world!”

This was what I (the reporter, not me) felt after watching SBS Family Outing variety. Could it be I am getting on or not knowing Big Bang well enough? But I never thought that Big Bang would have a member like this.

What I meant was having a wide range of emotions, friendly, kind-hearted “ultimate idols”. Ye Eun of the Wonder Girls is the same. They are not “fake” and extremely candid. They don’t act cool but are very straightforward.

That’s why both Dae Sung and Ye Eun are in the upper echelons of our “ultimate idols” ranking and are our focal point this week.

The biggest reason behind idol groups ending up being boring is because of the “idol groups = good looking guys/girls”. As these young boys and girls look and pose for the cameras, seemingly asking, “Am I pretty?”, your curiosity and concern just ebbs away. These idol groups look extremely unnatural as their bold and mysterious actions aren’t befitting of their age.

Dae Sung and Ye Eun are however direct opposites. Even though they might look plain compared to others in their group, but they are able to display the energy and personality that a 20 year old youth should have. Dae Sung singing his trot song “Look At Me, Gwi-soon” and Ye Eun’s candid personality onstage and offstage. Whenever we see them, confidence just ebbs out from them.

5-member girl group Wonder Girls has ended their “So Hot” promotions.

Wonder Girls has break from the norm by not promoting any follow-up songs from their “So Hot” mini album which was released in early June. After nearly two months of promoting “So Hot” and a remix version of the same song, their promotional activities has come to an end. They are scheduled for an autumn comeback in late September with their 2nd studio album.

According to JYP Entertainment, “So Hot has been equally popular as Tell Me last year but we will not be promoting any follow-up songs from the mini album and end our promotions at this. There’s no special reason behind this since we are just following our plans that we set at the beginning.”

The Wonder Girls have a scheduled fan meeting this coming Friday (25th July), 7pm while they will pick up Cyworld Song of the Month for June tonight(22nd july).

The Wonder Girls Keroro Fighter CF is finally out. Quite cute to see them dancing with the Keroro Fighter characters. The butt patting and CF song was adorable.
